1Fort is reinventing insurance by using AI to transition it from a reactive model to a proactive one. By integrating AI-powered risk mitigation services with top-tier insurance policies, we help companies never need to use their insurance and save money in the process.

You'll build 1Fort from the ground up, and we're seeing exciting traction on product, growth and funding. We're a venture-backed startup having raised seed capital from investors like Village Global, On Deck, Operator Partners, Company Ventures, Character VC and 8-Bit Capital.

A bit about who we are

We're a lean team based in NYC with strong complementary skills and have worked in insurance, cybersecurity and B2B SaaS growth at places like Google, BCG and Coalition.

You’ll have outsized impact and ownership

You'll build something from 0 to 1. As our first growth lead, you'll take on many of the responsibilities expected in a fouding team member. Main responsibilities include:

  • Drive customer development to understand user needs and feedback
  • Develop and execute on strategies to retain, engage and satisfy customers
  • Lead growth initiatives for existing customers, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Provide insights to shape product features and priorities.
  • Build partnerships to support growth and retention
  • Represent the company in meetings, requiring occasional travel
  • Collaborate across teams to achieve retention and growth goals in a fast-paced environment


Though beyond all that, you'll help us shape 1Fort's culture and vision, hire new talent, grow our user base, and support customers. What's important to us is someone who is comfortable in being cross-functional, scrappy, entrepreneurial and working in a fast-moving environment.

Passion and know-hows that matter

  • 5+ years in growth, retention, or customer success roles
  • Proven track record in scaling customer engagement and growth strategies
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and customer lifecycle management
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and skilled at tackling complex challenges
  • Willingness to travel and build strategic partnerships

Bonus

  • Prior experience working at a insurtech, fintech or regtech company
  • Knowledge in HubSpot, ZenDesk, PowerPoint and SQL
